First Step Toward McMenamin's
On October 30, 2009, Elks Temple Properties LLC took title to the Elks Temple, and the City of Tacoma acquired the adjoining vacant land to the north of this building. This is the first step toward completing the overall $40 million mixed-use project, which includes a McMenamin’s brewpub, entertainment venue and hotel, an approximate 300-stall City-owned parking garage, 22,500 square feet of retail and about 68 market-rate apartments. Employment at full build out is estimated to be approximately 300. Design work is anticipated to begin in December 2009/January 2010.-AP
