Spring Cleaning

Officially, it took us three days to realize that spring is here. Maybe the wind and rain has suppressed our perception. Perhaps the mountain snow? At any rate, we've sprung forward and the calendar says it's post-3/21, so here we go. Time to get the yard cleaned up and begin the home regeneration process that is always much easier to execute when it's not raining sideways. Peeling paint, leftover seasonal yard waste, pine needle-saturated doormats, exterior light bulbs, seasonal flower & plant situations... [deep breath]. Spring clean. Go.

Stop, Collaborate & Listen

When left to my own vices, I, the Time Capsule, am forced to produce something. Here goes. Commuters, note the unavoidable photographic metaphor, included at no extra charge.

The economy continues to disappoint. Driving to the airport in the rain on a should-be springy evening, it occurs to me that now is a good time to do 3 things:

1) Note where you've been, what you've done, and where the world has been to gain perspective.
2) Observe where you are now. What is happening today? What is working in your life? What is not? This can be a time to make changes in your life that will effect you for years to come.
3) Look up ahead. Be ready for what you see, and even things you don't see just yet. Anticipation is key. Stuff keeps coming at us, no matter how far or fast we travel through this life. How fast are things passing you by?

More Snow

Just when you think it's safe to get back in the water, you awake to a fresh blanket of snow in the yard.  Were you up early? That's the only way you would've seen it.  Again, a quick snow teaser that would be long gone by lunchtime. The enormous flakes were fun while they lasted.
