Breakfast Time
What's a perfect breakfast in 2009? The perfect breakfast is exactly what you want it to be.
I have my favorite. Here's how I make it. Fry thin, ground sausage patty
in a pan until crispy. Melt cheese on sausage patty for last couple
minutes of cooking. Lightly toast english muffin. Place cooked sausage
and toasted, open-faced muffin on a plate in a warm oven. Scramble
an egg to finish off the masterpiece. Other great substitutions include
bacon, ham, sausage links, lettuce, mushrooms, tomatoes, cream cheese, steak,
hamburger.. just about anything. Meat or egg must be in there to
officially qualify as breakfast at my house, but to each his own.

X-Games Surprise
It's been a long time since Tanner Hall and Simon Dumont were not winners in the X-Games skiing superpipe. Enter Xavier Bertoni.
Although his name sounds like a brand of spaghetti sauce, he's from France. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of this guy. Look how he goes from nervous to confused to victorious.
He followed this up with an ESPN TV interview in which he repeatedly stated that he could not speak English.

President Obama Inauguration
The Inauguration strikes me as being about the biggest event I've ever seen. Good or bad, like it or not.. this day will be remembered and discussed by
generations to come. Days you will absolutely never forget don't come along all that often. We will all remember this time. It is
significant. Take a breath and think about it - you will likely never again bear witness to such an important day as long as you live.

Purple Haze
Lately, Tacoma has been not unlike your favorite grape soda: crisp, cold, clear and purple. Day and night, the ghost of Jimi
Hendrix has been omnipresent. Purple Haze was written by a guy from this region for a reason. While this is neat n' all, more precipitation would
be nice. Snow gods, where you at??

Pacific Flood
It appears the Mud Mountain Dam released too much water, inadvertently flooding part of the town of Pacific, Washington. Residents were miffed and people are looking for answers.
The region endured significant warming and mountain runoff turned out to be a problem, as expected earlier in the month.

Wild Weather
The weather is an adventure lately, to say the least. 2 inches of snow fell in 4 hours and then it was all gone by morning. Now they're saying
the freezing level may go up to 8000 feet this week. Look out flood zones!
